Description:

Federal Court of Canada Anita Merai-Schwartz, director of operations, made an observation, that the number of self-represented litigants has been on the rise in both the Federal Court of Canada and the Tax Courts. She will provide a primer on how to prepare SRLs who are appearing in the courts of first instance, the Tax Court of Canada and Federal Court of Canada; as well as when reviews are filed with the Federal Court of Canada on decisions made by tribunals and commissions.

Amici Curiae volunteers and guests get in for free. This event is open to the profession for $50 (plus GST).

CPD 1.0 hour including .5 hour for client relations.
